NRP DDM Part organized a result-sharing seminar Earthquake and Flood Preparedness Programme for building risk informed development and gender responsive disaster risk reduction and resilience in Bangladesh on 27 March 2022 (Sunday evening ), at CIRDAP International Conference Centre (1st Floor), Dhaka. During the result sharing session, most of the audience actively participate and the presenter translates the Dynamic Flood Risk Model (DFRM) and the meaning of raising the water level of rivers during monsoon in Bangladesh in terms of vulnerability to reduce loss and damage.
Also, the implementation partner claimed 80% accuracy of DFRM after piloting in the result-sharing workshop. Chief Guest Mr. Md Kamrul Hasan ndc, Secretary of Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR); Chairperson Mr. Md. Atiqul Huq, Director General, Department of Disaster Management (DDM) & Special Guest from Development Part Ms. Nayoka Martinez Bäckström, First Secretary, Environment & Climate Change, Development Cooperation Section, Government of Sweden and Mr. Prasenjit Chakma, Assistant Resident Representative, Resilience & Inclusive Growth Cluster, UNDP joined this result sharing seminar and highlights the disaster context of Bangladesh and the NRP DDM part contribution towards building resilience nation.
