The National Resilience Programme (NRP) is a unique partnership between the Bangladesh government, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UN Women, and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) that provides strategic support in enhancing national capacity to keep pace with the changing nature of disasters.The programme aims at substantial increase in resilience to disaster and reduction in disaster risk, loss of lives, livelihoods and health of men, women, girls, and boys; and protection of the health of persons, businesses, and communities in Bangladesh. The total budget of NRP is USD 13,938,044 (GOB: USD 1,308,656  FCDO– GBP 4,000,000 and Government of Sweden SEK 66,500,000) and the Implementing Partners are The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), the Department of Women Affairs (DWA) of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA), the Programming Division of the Planning Commission, Ministry of Planning (MoP), and the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) of the Ministry of Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives (MoLGRD&C).
